It's amazing the new friends you make in the games industry, people making games themselves, players, designers, writers, you name it. Rita and I set up shop in our little one bedroom flat at the beginning. The dining table became the desk, our whole flat storage (wherever boxes would fit until we got a warehouse sorted) and the living room the place I'd get inspired sitting looking out on our small piece of London backyard with a couple of trees and some friendly squirrels.
As we worked long hours at home our little furry friends came to be a regular feature in the house, one even arriving at 5am at the now open bedroom window during the summer and loudly squawking if there were no nuts ready to be collected. So when you wonder what kept us going through those long long months producing all the Achtung! Cthulhu books and a second long and hard Kickstarter for Mutant Chronicles, you owe this little friend and her long hours spent in the house, who made us smile in the mad frenzy of non-stop production. As you can see she even became the 'Squirrel of Cthulhu' - those are some special development sculpts in in hobby materials for our wargame that have yet to see the light of day by the way! One at the back was a fun idea for the Chthonians who made it to a much more refined design.
