One of the things I love about games is dreaming up the unusual characters that popular our worlds. The six heroes of Achtung! Cthulhu, who reappear consistently throughout the art include some unusual types for sure.
There's Captain Eric 'Badger' Harris (Badger is the name of an old friend and part of our gaming group) who's your classic Englishman who's worked hard and found himself in a nightmare, but he just get's on with it. Then there's the cheeky Corporal Akhee 'The Eye' Singh, who can whisper a few words and turn in to a whirling storm of death as his pendant's eye begins to open, though he know's the world will end when it finally opens for good. He's from the Sikh Regiment - one of the most highly decorated in the British Empire - did you know India contributed over 2.5 million soldiers to the Allied forces? Ariane is one of my favourites. She features in our forthcoming film and we learn some of her backstory. Falling through a collapsing castle basement during an ambush she is confronted by a strange beast freed from its broken cage, that offers her freedom in return for Nazi souls. Ariane is only too willing to let it feed on her hatred of Nazis, though what will she do when there are no more to kill...
