The most important journey for generations is about to begin! Humanity is reaching for the stars and has built great ships required for our first journeys.Space arks. Generation ships. Metal worlds lost between the stars.
Project Generations gives you the tools you need to have great adventures! Join the journey! Risk fate to keep your ship together against all odds, bringing humanity to the stars. It is up all to you!
Whether you play science fiction or space opera roleplaying in the FATE based games of Starblazer Adventures, Diaspora, or Bulldogs! Project Generations has what you need to create stories set on the vast generation ships of the future:
- Rules conversions for all three systems; Starblazer Adventures, Diaspora, Bulldogs! - Guidelines for creating exciting useful aspects for your space ark, as well as tools to specify the ship’s reason for launch, and the intended destination of the vessel. - A simple, fun system for detailing the parameters of your generation ship; technology, environment, resources, and governance. This system uses a modified version of Diaspora’s revolutionary Cluster ratings, tailored specifically for generation ships - Rules to generate your own space arks on the fly - Two detailed descriptions of generation ships, including statistics for all three game systems: - The 100 KM Noah-class generation ship, a realistic hard SF generation ship - The 5,000 KM Phoenix-class space ark, an enormous vessel inspired by the domed spaceship habitat designs of 1970s SF shows like The Starlost and Silent Running - An in-depth, level-by-level description of the Noah-class ship, with rules for its augmented reality and access control systems, and organizational stats and descriptions for ship departments
Plus a full scenario written for all three systems; “The Signal from Hyadum,” You play the Reserve Crew of a Noah-class generation ship. Awakening from cryostasis after centuries asleep, you find the ark in crisis and must solve the problems before the delicate balance of life is destroyed. The adventure balances action, mysteries, and intrigue on a ship that has lost control.
